The journal CrossCurrents recently published a special issue on ‘EmbattledMasculinities in the Religious Traditions’. The guest editor of this issue is Bjorn Krondorfer, who is a leading scholar in the study of men, masculinities and religion.
The volume presents twelve articles from scholars all over the world, exploring issues related to men as gendered beings in various religious traditions. I contributed one of the articles, entitled ‘St Joachim as a Model of Catholic Manhood in Times of AIDS’, based on fieldwork in Zambia. See here the pre-print version of the article.
